Growth with purpose: how sustainable innovation drives human potential

Kyndryl’s newly released Fiscal Year 2025 Corporate Citizenship Report showcases our bold progress in environmental stewardship, being a people-centered firm and serving as a trusted partner to our customers. Establishing and maintaining these three foundational pillars – Environment, People and Trust – reflects Kyndryl’s deep commitments to sustainability, responsible innovation and inclusive growth.

Innovation fuels growth

At Kyndryl, corporate citizenship is a driving force for innovation, growth and global impact. By advancing sustainability, empowering our people and the communities we serve, maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance, and supporting our customers’ success, Kyndryl is helping shape a sustainable future in which progress and purpose are interconnected.

This year, Kyndryl delivered an 18% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a 15% decrease in total energy consumption (compared to our fiscal 2023 baseline), and purchased 58% of our electricity from renewable sources. These achievements underscore Kyndryl’s long-term commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040 and align with our 2030 near-term targets, validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative.

Kyndryl has earned several industry recognitions for progress in citizenship and sustainability, including an EcoVadis Gold medal (awarded to the top 5% of participating organizations). We also garnered inclusion in TIME’s World’s Most Sustainable Companies and Forbes’ Net Zero Leaders lists, and earned a leader ranking in the ISG Provider Lens™ Sustainability and ESG – IT Solutions and Services Report. These honors are among more than 60 workplace-related awards that Kyndryl has received during our first three years as an independent firm.

Kyndryl invests in people – and in their ability to serve our customers and communities. Over the last fiscal year, we doubled the average learning hours for customer-facing employees – focusing on training in the advanced technologies that help drive customer success. To support a resilient and inclusive workforce, which is essential to lasting success, we launched Kinship at Kyndryl, a unified team dedicated to scaling initiatives that foster equity, belonging and mental health support.

Throughout the communities we serve, the Kyndryl Foundation awarded second-year grants to 12 nonprofit organizations across 11 countries. A reflection of Kyndryl’s dedication to global digital equity and workforce development, the inaugural Foundation grants supported cybersecurity skills training for more than 49,000 beneficiaries and their communities.
