Since forming an alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2022, Kyndryl has rapidly built competencies, robust offerings and solutions to help businesses modernize and innovate. Our combined cloud technology expertise helps customers implement resilient cloud solutions.

In fact, we have been able to simplify the migration and modernization journey for customers with fast cloud adoption, security-rich and scalable cloud environments, and innovative cloud technologies for improved experiences and enhanced ROI.

The best part: Our alliance work is just getting started. During AWS re:Invent 2023, which ends today, we achieved three major milestones.

AWS re:Invent 2023 | Three major milestones

01

Signing of a multiyear Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with AWS.

02

Expansion of Kyndryl's collaboration with AWS as a Premier Tier Services Partner.

03

AWS recognized Kyndryl for providing validated solutions using AWS Resilience Services.

Kyndryl signed a multiyear Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with AWS, focused on developing and delivering generative artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and advanced machine learning (ML) capabilities. Together, we will establish an Innovation Factory to co-create generative AI and ML solutions focused on specific industry use cases. This will help customers jump-start their cloud modernization journey and accelerate their business transformation. Kyndryl will utilize its AI-readiness program to further support customers in the adoption of responsible AWS generative AI services.

We also expanded our collaboration with AWS as a Premier Tier Services Partner to help customers accelerate their mainframe modernization initiatives. As part of the collaboration, Kyndryl will support the AWS Mainframe Modernization service, a platform for assessment, migration, modernization, execution and operation of mainframe applications. With such services, we can create an end-to-end mainframe transformation factory that integrates and migrates mainframe applications and data to AWS, as well as provides seamless hybrid estate management for shared customers.

What’s more, the AWS Competency Program recognized Kyndryl for providing validated solutions to help customers improve their critical systems availability and resilience posture using AWS Resilience Services. Since the start of our partnership, we have achieved seven Competency Programs, eight Service Partner Validations and six Partner Programs.

As an AWS Premier Tier partner, we have achieved more than 10,000 certifications and 200-plus customer launches.

Vice President of Global Alliances

Part of that success comes from the investments we have made in our people. As an AWS Premier Tier partner, we have achieved more than 10,000 certifications and 200-plus customer launches. Since forming our alliance, we have upskilled the team on AWS skills that support our customers’ rapid adoption of cloud services and solutions. We have designed, deployed and operated customized IT solutions tailored to customers’ evolving needs by leveraging the AWS-Kyndryl differentiated capabilities. And we’ve developed accelerators such as VMware Cloud on AWS to leverage deep partnerships — helping customers achieve results faster.

As we look to the future for our strategic partnership, one thing is certain: enabling customer success is rooted in everything we do at Kyndryl and this is true for our collaboration with AWS. As we continue to help customers transform and be more competitive, our partnership with AWS will also grow — it has more than doubled in the last six months alone. We will further expand AWS expertise of Kyndryl employees around the world, which will support businesses in becoming more modern, innovative and competitive.
