SÃO PAULO, October 9, 2023 — SulAmérica, Brazil's largest independent insurer, and Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider, have renewed their partnership to modernize SulAmérica's technology infrastructure and migrate mission-critical workloads to a Kyndryl zCloud environment.

The insurance industry in Brazil is facing increased demand for digital services, which has accelerated the need for more agile and resilient IT operations. With the agreement, Kyndryl moved SulAmérica's mission-critical applications from a traditional mainframe environment to Kyndryl's secure, multi-tenant zCloud infrastructure. This cloud migration enables SulAmérica to have greater flexibility and speed to support the millions of transactions that take place daily in its systems, servicing more than 5.5 million customers in Brazil.

Kyndryl and SulAmérica have a longstanding partnership, with Kyndryl providing services that support the IT environments hosting the insurer's core business applications such as the Health, Life and Pension platform that manages medical authorizations, claim processing, coverage eligibility, payments and reimbursements, and more. By adopting the zCloud environment, SulAmérica is enhancing the cyber resiliency capabilities required for these types of workloads.
