The Tent European Business Summit debuted in Paris on June 19, 2023, to support the global refugee community, a growing population often impacted by dire conditions such as war, famine and natural disasters.

Kyndryl representatives Mariusz Swietochowski, Director of Portfolio Management, and Maureen Muthua, Director of Field Marketing, joined about 150 attendees at the Tent summit, which kicked off World Refugee Week. Kyndryl was one of 41 companies that committed to an economic integration solution that is expected to help over 250,000 displaced global citizens.

For its part, Kyndryl is supporting the Sunflower Project, an initiative that accelerates the economic inclusion of Ukrainian refugee women living across Europe who were driven out of their homeland by war.

Over the next three years, Kyndryl will contribute to the broader solution of reskilling refugees through a program that offers mentoring and training opportunities for a select group of Ukrainian women. The specialized program will train these women with the intention of retaining 30% of them after completion.

Kyndryl’s pledge is part of a larger commitment to supporting the social and environmental initiatives where it can leverage its technology and workforce to make the greatest impact.
