Kyndryl’s Digital Workplace solutions and A.I. capabilities help CAF’s global workforce manage complexities of industrial design and manufacturing projects
BEASAIN, Spain, February 15, 2022 – Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider, and CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles), a Spain-based multinational leader as a supplier of integral transportation systems, today announced that Kyndryl has been chosen by CAF to provide A.I.-powered technical support and Digital Workplace services worldwide. Working side-by-side with CAF, Kyndryl will help enable the company's engineers, designers, and transportation experts around the world with the tools and technology to respond to the demanding requirements of industrial design and manufacturing projects.
CAF relies heavily on IT infrastructure to support projects that are based on complex data and images and must be accessed by many people in a quick and reliable manner. Delivering a user-centric experience is essential to helping workers use these resources to meet project deadlines.
CAF has enlisted Kyndryl’s expertise to develop and manage a new digital workplace with virtual assistants that can help its employees manage the demanding requirements of project management. Employees will use A.I. assistants to identify, analyze, and solve common problems quickly, like network connection failures or devices that are out of order.
In addition to end-user support services, Kyndryl is also responsible for managing CAF’s local data centers and IT infrastructures in Gipuzkoa, Spain – offering business continuity services and back-up support through Kyndryl's data centers. The new contract incorporates important updates to its existing technology platform, creating a central, consolidated view of the entire IT infrastructure. By implementing new automation solutions, CAF will reduce operational complexities, costs and human errors by streamlining and modernizing its IT functions with predictive, self-healing technology for issues avoidance, management, and support.
