The heart of progress for our people and planet

At Kyndryl, we believe that by aligning our business operations with positive outcomes for society and the environment, we can create a sustainable future.

As the world’s largest provider of IT infrastructure services with a presence in over 60 countries, we recognize the impact we have on the environment and our responsibility to minimize our greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint and promote sustainable practices across our business.

We approach our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy from the heart of progress, where technology enables innovation, environmental stewardship and social impact.

A roadmap to environmental sustainability

Environmental and climate-related risks warrant meaningful action. We work to create a sustainable and inclusive future by driving practices and positive social impact at scale and in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Addressing climate risk

Our environmental strategy focuses on reducing emissions related to our business, which means tracking and tackling not just the emissions we control directly, but also indirect emissions such as those from our suppliers.

We started with an IT assessment to understand Kyndryl’s climate risk and identify the potential policy, regulatory, market and reputational impacts across our business and operations.

To address our operational climate risk, we developed a GHG inventory management plan using software to track, measure and manage the program and define roles and responsibilities across the enterprise.

We built our ESG program into the foundation of our company because we understand and care about the global impact we can make to our communities and environment to deliver an inclusive and sustainable future.”

Chief Sustainability and ESG Officer, Kyndryl
