What is Kyndryl ID?

Kyndryl ID is the customer identity and access management (CIAM) solution for external single sign-on (SSO). In essence, Kyndryl ID connects you, our customer, to Kyndryl’s services which empower you to modernize and manage your mission-critical technology.

As an SSO offering, Kyndryl ID provides you with a single ID and password for accessing all the Kyndryl applications you rely on to power your business.

With frictionless, self-registration you are in control of your secure, personal data with the ability to update and manage your profile through each phase of the lifecycle.

Kyndryl ID also provides federation for partnering organizations.

Kyndryl ID places you in control and empowers you to select the right level of security to fit your individual needs and comfort level.

With opt-in multi-factor authentication (MFA), you can balance security and usability. Through the enablement of MFA, you also gain access to self-service account management including forgotten password resets.

Kyndryl IDs are available to all Kyndryl customers, and accessible through the sign-on screen when accessing your Kyndryl applications or from your Kyndryl account representative.

FAQs

This is a FAQ showing frequently asked questions for End Users.

 

Try these steps:

  • Refresh the page
  • Clear the browser’s cache/cookies
  • Log into login.kyndryl.com
  • Open URL to the application URL you were trying to access  

  •  Your Kyndryl ID:
    • Must be in a valid e-mail address format (i.e. name@domain.com)
    • o   Must be no longer than 100 characters and no shorter than 5 characters
    • Cannot contain an @ special character except to separate user and domain (i.e. name@domain.com is valid but n@me@domain.com is not).
    • Except for characters ‘ ` ~, no diacritical marks are supported.
    • The period character (.) may not be used to start or end the part of an email address that precedes the @ symbol (known as the “local” part), nor can two or more periods be used consecutively.
    • Unicode characters are not supported.

Your Kyndryl ID is in the form of an email address. If you need direct assistance recovering your Kyndryl ID, please contact Kyndryl_ID_Help@kyndryl.com

Kyndryl ID strongly recommends 15 or more characters for enhanced security

  • Password requirements:
    • At least 8 characters
    • A lowercase letter
    • An uppercase letter
    • A number
    • A symbol
    • No parts of your username
    • Does not include your first name
    • Does not include your last name
  • Tips for creating a strong password:
    • Should be memorable to you but difficult for others to guess
    • Mixing upper and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters adds complexity
    • Avoid using obvious words (e.g. MyPassword2), proper names (e.g. Michael123), or pop culture icons (e.g. Superman1) as the root of your password

Note: Self password reset will not work through the link if MFA was not previously set up. Please email the Kyndryl ID Support team at Kyndryl_ID_Help@kyndryl.com if you have issues resetting your password.

Kyndryl ID does not require MFA enrollment, however, Kyndryl strongly recommends multifactor authentication for enhanced security. MFA is required for self-service options. You can reset the MFA enrollment from your profile after you log in.

  • You no longer have access to the email account associated with your Kyndryl ID or feel that the security of that email account has been compromised
  • “Unable to sign in”
  • Unable to reset your password
  • Loss of device associated with the MFA you have setup in your account
  • MFA not functioning to authenticate
  • Account is locked out

You can view and edit your personal contact details directly on your profile once you have registered.

  1. Sign into your dashboard
  2. Click on your name at the top right corner
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Edit on the top right corner of the box labeled Display Language
  5. Select preferred language
  6. Click Save
