Alpina accelerates its digital transformation with Kyndryl to modernize core IT infrastructure

The collaboration will drive Alpina’s RISE with SAP journey on AWS Cloud

BOGOTÁ, Colombia, June 10, 2026Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, today announced the signing of a new agreement with Alpina Colombia, a company of the Grupo Alpina, to modernize its core IT infrastructure as part of its digital transformation strategy.

Building on a long-standing relationship and leveraging Kyndryl’s designation as a RISE with SAP implementation partner, the company will help Alpina with its SAP migration to SAP Cloud ERP Private on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Kyndryl will also support the enablement of a data factory and the implementation of Kyndryl Bridge, the company’s AI-powered, open integration platform, with multi-disciplined guidance from Kyndryl Consult.

“At Alpina, we are preparing the company to respond to what the market already demands: greater flexibility, speed, and the ability to anticipate. We are convinced that the combination of cutting-edge technology, access to global innovation through the cloud, and the expertise of our people will transform the way we operate. This agreement, together with Kyndryl, is a key milestone in modernizing our IT infrastructure while ensuring business continuity,” said Nicolás Forero, Vice President of Transformation and Technology at Alpina Colombia.

Gerardo Osio, Managing Director of Kyndryl Colombia, added: “We are proud to enable Alpina’s digital transformation by leveraging our consulting services and deep applications expertise to support the company’s RISE with SAP journey with SAP. This initiative will enhance Alpina’s technology platform and enable new digital capabilities that will drive greater agility, efficiency and resilience across its operations.”

As food and consumer goods companies accelerate modernization to improve transparency, traceability and resilience, many continue to face technology and risk management gaps. According to the Kyndryl Readiness Report 2025, only 30% of leaders feel prepared to manage technology risks, and 70% of CEOs say their cloud environments evolved by accident rather than by design — making transformation more complex.

Alpina’s transformation stems from a strategic decision to maintain competitiveness. In an environment where the food and consumer goods industry faces growing pressures around efficiency, traceability and resilience, Alpina has chosen to lead change from within, with a model that strengthens both employee capabilities and operational efficiency. In line with this vision, the RISE with SAP migration will be carried out using AWS, Alpina’s selected hyperscaler cloud provider. The project will strengthen the adoption of industry-specific capabilities, enhance the user experience and enable a modern, scalable and innovation-driven SAP ecosystem.

The project also includes the operation of Alpina’s hybrid infrastructure — managing and maintaining both SAP and non-SAP on-premises systems, along with the enablement of a data factory to support the organization’s analytics and artificial intelligence strategy, leveraging AI-driven use cases. Additionally, Kyndryl Bridge will provide greater observability, automation and proactive systems management, enabling increased availability and efficiency across all technology operations.

For more than a decade, Alpina has trusted Kyndryl to manage and operate its technology environment. Through this collaboration, both companies will continue to partner to advance industry innovation, leveraging a cloud platform that drives operational efficiency, modernizes key processes and enables data-driven decision‑making.
