MADRID, May 12, 2025 — Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, announced it has been selected by Servei de Salut de les Illes Balear (the Balearic Islands Health Service) to design and develop a tailor-made platform for expert clinical-genomic analysis.
The platform, based on open-source technology, will create a secure, easily portable and resilient platform that will power an artificial intelligence engine to more quickly and efficiently manage clinical data and create use cases. Kyndryl Consult, the area that drives digital transformation by aligning business goals with cutting-edge technology, leveraging its expertise in mission-critical environments, will work closely with the Balearic Islands Health Service to design and develop the platform to meet the organization’s ambitious research strategy, while aligning with local data protection regulations and best practices.
“The objective is to help the health service of the Balearic Islands achieve an automated service for the analysis of massive sequencing of genomes, exomes or gene panels on a single platform. This will help to shorten the time of diagnosis, making it more effective by allowing easier comparison with other samples.
