From inventing new technologies and helping businesses navigate AI adoption to modernizing critical systems, Hispanic and Latino Kyndryls are helping customers prepare for the future. Here are some of their stories.
Turning curiosity into innovation
Cesar Bravo has spent his career solving technology challenges spanning cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Among Kyndryl’s most accomplished inventors, he has filed for more than 215 patents.
His first patent grew out of a practical challenge: helping organizations securely manage passwords across thousands of servers. Since then, Cesar has developed solutions designed to improve cybersecurity, protect consumers and address emerging technology risks.
Among the innovations he’s particularly passionate about are technologies designed to improve consumer security. One of Cesar’s patented concepts uses touch-sensitive technology to help prevent the unauthorized capture of credit card information. Another of his cybersecurity innovations, which detects and stops sophisticated forms of USB-based attacks, was acquired by a major security company.
Despite his impressive list of patents, Cesar says innovation comes down to being curious about how to solve everyday problems. “I think in Latin America, we are innovative by default because we need to fix things. We want to improve things,” he says.
That mindset continues to drive Cesar’s work today as he explores new ideas and looks for opportunities to solve customers’ challenges in ways others haven’t considered.

Turning AI possibilities into business outcomes
Ana Maria Bezerra Maimoni helps customers recognize and capture business value by infusing AI into their IT estates. As a solutions architect and Distinguished Engineer, she has developed a repeatable method that helps teams connect AI investments to customer goals, measurable outcomes and real business impact. The idea came from a customer project in which discussions focused on technical details rather than business outcomes. Maimoni helped shift the focus toward protecting operations, reducing risk and improving performance.
"The challenge is to make value real for the customer,” she says. “We want to turn the promise of modernization into something that is concrete and impactful."
Today, she shares the approach with others who are also helping customers navigate their AI journeys. Her ability to find solutions is rooted in lessons learned through sports, family and her upbringing in Brazil.
"We are used to doing a lot with a little,” she says. “That mindset helps me find solutions."
Ana also credits her mother for encouraging her to pursue her goals. "If you have a dream, go for it,” she says. “Don’t wait for others to make your dreams come true."

Helping customers evolve for the future
New Kyndryl Distinguished Engineer Luis Aused, CTO for Spain and Portugal, helps customers evolve complex enterprise systems and prepare for the next generation of technology. Rather than viewing modernization as simply replacing old technology, he helps customers rethink how their systems support future growth and business transformation.
Luis and his team have developed AI-enabled tools that analyze applications, identify how they interact with one another and find opportunities to improve efficiency, security and performance. The tools help customers better understand critical systems and make smarter decisions.
“We help them to evolve their systems to their customers’ needs so they can do more business,” Luis says.
His work is helping expand Kyndryl’s ability to advise customers on modernizing their critical systems while reducing complexity and risk.
Luis credits his parents, both teachers, for shaping how he approaches his work and communicates with others. “My parents were very hard workers, and they were teachers,” Luis says. “They taught me responsibility and how to explain things to others.” Those lessons continue to shape how he builds trust with customers and teams alike.
