On National Intern Day, Kyndryl celebrates the energy, curiosity, talent and potential of future leaders as they transition from classroom to career. That transition is a pivotal moment in a person’s journey.
“At Kyndryl, we believe early-career talent grows fastest when they are trusted to contribute, supported by great teams, and given opportunities to learn through real experiences. Our interns are not simply preparing for future careers; they are bringing fresh perspectives, building new skills, and making meaningful contributions that create value for our business today. We are committed to providing opportunities that help the next generation of talent develop, thrive and build rewarding careers while shaping the future of Kyndryl.”
Here, current and former Kyndryl interns share why they chose Kyndryl, and how their experiences have helped them launch their careers while contributing to shared customer value.
Why the best come to Kyndryl
Kyndryl’s culture made an immediate impression on Dushyant Gudivada, a 2026 intern with the Human Resources IT Automation team. “Kyndryl’s work environment and culture are what attracted me,” he says. “There is a strong sense of openness and collaboration, and everyone is treated equally regardless of position.”
Dushyant has learned Agile methodologies, Power Automate Desktop, Azure DevOps and enterprise automation practices during his internship. He expanded his expertise in Copilot Studio and AI agent development by building an AI-powered agent integrated with Azure DevOps connectors. He also earned Microsoft PL-900 and AB-900 certifications, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and innovation. Being trusted to work on real projects has helped Dushyant build the type of confidence that benefits both him and Kyndryl. “My team has trusted me, supported my learning journey and encouraged me to grow,” he says.
The chance to gain hands-on experience supporting real customer engagements also attracted Dream Klaimuk, a 2026 Business Analyst Consulting intern. “Kyndryl stood out because they integrate interns into active teams, and trust them with important tasks, which enables them to contribute to major customer work,” she says. “Knowing that my team had confidence in my judgment and my work allowed me to build confidence.” Dream has developed data analytics skills while supporting a fax-inventory modernization project and credits the experience with strengthening her project management, communication and leadership skills.
Closing the skills gap while building careers
As the technology sector skills shortage persists, fielding the right people with the latest capabilities continues to differentiate Kyndryl in the marketplace. Following her internship at Kyndryl, Karishma Bunsee joined the firm and is now a Senior Associate in Commercial Finance. “The stories I heard made it clear that Kyndryl was a place that truly valued interns as contributors, not just observers,” she says.
“Being trusted with meaningful work and real responsibilities, and knowing that my work had an impact, gave me the confidence to transition into my current role and continue taking on new challenges,” says Karishma. Specifically, she credits her Kyndryl internship experience with developing the analytical skills that have enabled her to transform financial data into meaningful business insights. In addition, working with customer teams helped Karishma build the networking and communication skills she needed to collaborate across the organization.
Cybersecurity Assurance Senior Associate Zofia Pietryga also points to her Kyndryl internship as foundational to developing the combination of technical and soft skills that drive innovation, growth and business impact for customers. Zofia gained experience in Power Platform, automation, reporting and process improvement and earned a Microsoft PL-900 certification during her Kyndryl internship. “Leading the development of business solutions, and seeing my work make a real impact by improving processes showed me that I could contribute real value early in my career,” Zofia says.
Former Kyndryl intern Will Ross recalls a similar experience. Now an Associate Data and AI Consultant, Will interned for eight months with a Security Operations Center (SOC) team, where he developed the analytical and problem-solving skills that served him during his Data & AI Consultant internship before assuming his current role. “Being trusted to contribute to real customer work showed me that I could make a real impact, and helped me realize that I could build a career at Kyndryl,” he says.
By enabling skills development and real-world contributions to run in parallel, Kyndryl internships deliver benefits to early-career professionals, our customers and our firm. The overarching theme as top talent progresses from classroom to careers at Kyndryl is that trust and support help curious and innovative people develop the confidence they need to stretch their capabilities. This investment in our people continues to position Kyndryl as the preferred partner to organizations seeking the greatest return on investment in advanced technologies and the expertise to design, build and run their mission-critical enterprise systems.
