Murata Manufacturing chooses Kyndryl to provide managed services for 1,000 systems on AWS Cloud

TOKYO, September 30, 2025 — Kyndryl, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, today announced that it was selected by Murata Manufacturing to deliver managed services for 1,000 servers used in internal business and factory systems on the AWS Cloud. The managed services will start in November 2025. 

To deliver and support Murata’s AWS Cloud environment, Kyndryl will leverage its AI-powered open integrated platform, Kyndryl Bridge, to provide enhanced visibility into IT operations, improve efficiency through automation, reduce dependency on specific individuals and utilize insights derived from AI to gradually improve operations. Kyndryl will provide managed services support from delivery experts based in Japan and India. This will help establish a high-quality and sustainable model that drives the transformation of Murata’s IT operations.

Murata plans to promote digital transformation as part of its growth strategy to realize its Vision 2030 long-term direction. As part of this effort, Murata also plans to make strategic investments in its IT infrastructure. Murata continues to turn to Kyndryl for its track record of actively promoting continuous improvement and automation, while maintaining high operational quality over the years. As a result, the company decided to entrust managed service for AWS to Kyndryl.

Kyndryl began an IT services agreement with Murata in 2011 and has since supported efforts to modernize their IT infrastructure and improve the high availability, agility and resilience of systems to support business growth. The IT services agreement has been renewed through June 2029, focused on helping Murata accelerate its digital transformation to meet its business needs and leverage the ability to respond quickly to create an environment for innovation. Specifically, Murata aims to promote DevOps by reviewing its processes and organizational structure to establish faster and more efficient operations. Kyndryl Consult will leverage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enable operational improvements across infrastructure and applications and help improve system reliability and operational sophistication.
