Kyndryl is accelerating its collaboration with Google Cloud, achieving new milestones that highlight and leverage the strength and breadth of their partnership. The company was recently recognized as a Managed Service Provider (MSP) — a designation reserved for Premier Level partners in the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program who deliver advanced managed application and support services. This achievement underscores Kyndryl’s expertise in helping customers modernize, operate, and secure their cloud environments at scale.
The partnership momentum is also building globally, with Google Cloud naming Kyndryl Partner of the Year in Mexico and ISG recognizing the company as a Google Cloud Rising Star in Brazil. These honors, combined with growing customer successes across Latin America, progress on the 100 AI Agents in 100 Days initiative, and expanded collaboration in sustainability, mainframe modernization, and security, signal the depth of innovation and value Kyndryl and Google Cloud are delivering together.
Azi Handley, Vice President, Global Alliances and Partnerships at Kyndryl, shares how businesses can scale and expand through Google Cloud services.
What has driven Kyndryl’s momentum with Google Cloud?
Our partnership with Google Cloud has continued to grow rapidly, and we’re thrilled with the recognition and results we’re seeing. The prestigious MSP status we recently received is reserved for Premier Level partners authorized in Google Cloud’s Partner Advantage Sell or Service Engagement Models. A select group of Google partners, including Kyndryl, hold both the Premier Partner and MSP designations. This confirms that Kyndryl is trusted to deliver advanced managed application and support services to Google Cloud customers globally.
On top of that, being named Partner of the Year in Mexico and the recognition from ISG as a Rising Star in Brazil reflect the strength of our collaboration with Google Cloud and illustrate the value we’re driving together for customers across Latin America.
Kyndryl and Google Cloud recently announced the “100 AI Agents in 100 Days” initiative. Where do things stand today?
That bold move has generated a lot of excitement, and since then, we’ve made real progress engaging with customers. Our teams have focused on accelerating deployment with customers, embedding AI agents into their IT and business environments to help automate processes, improve resiliency, and unlock new efficiencies. We’ve already deployed dozens of AI agents with customers across industries — from retail to manufacturing — and expect adoption to continue ramping up through 2025.
You’ve made strong traction in Latin America. Can you share a few customer examples?
Latin America has been a real bright spot for us. With CMPC, we’re migrating critical applications to Google Cloud to modernize operations and reduce costs. With Grupo Pavisa, we’re applying AI and cloud to optimize manufacturing. We’ve also partnered with GPA, one of Brazil’s largest food retailers, on a large-scale Google Cloud migration. These projects showcase the range of transformation we’re delivering — from core infrastructure modernization to AI-driven business outcomes.
Sustainability has been a focus area for Google Cloud. How is Kyndryl contributing?
Sustainability is front and center for many of our customers, and Google Cloud’s tools are a natural fit for this work. We’re applying Google Cloud AI solutions to help enterprises track, manage, and reduce their carbon footprint. For example, we’re working with customers to model energy usage and optimize supply chains — helping them to meet their sustainability goals while driving efficiency.
What about mainframe modernization? That’s a space where Kyndryl has unique expertise.
We recently expanded our partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate mainframe modernization. Many enterprises rely on mainframes for mission-critical workloads, and we’re helping them use Google Cloud to modernize those environments while maintaining reliability. It’s about combining Kyndryl’s deep heritage in mainframes with Google Cloud’s innovation in AI, analytics, and flexible infrastructure.
Today, security is top of mind for every customer. How are Kyndryl and Google Cloud collaborating in this area?
Security is fundamental to customers across all industries. We’re tightly aligned with Google Cloud on this front — bringing together our complementary expertise to help customers stay ahead of evolving threats. In fact, our Security and Resiliency Global Practice Leader, Kris Lovejoy, recently joined Google Cloud’s Anton Chuvakin for a discussion about the evolving threat landscape. It’s a great example of how we’re combining forces to provide customers with modern, resilient security solutions.
Looking ahead, what excites you most about the partnership?
The momentum we’re building and capitalizing on with Google Cloud is very exciting. Between our MSP status, the AI agents initiative, customer successes across Latin America, and our joint work in sustainability, mainframe modernization, and security, this partnership is firing on all cylinders. I’m excited about the impact we can continue to make for our customers as we help them modernize, innovate, and grow with Google Cloud.
As Kyndryl continues to expand its work with Google Cloud, the focus remains on helping enterprises tackle their most pressing transformation challenges — from accelerating AI adoption and modernizing mission-critical systems to advancing sustainability and strengthening security. With new designations, industry recognition, and a growing roster of customer successes, Kyndryl is well-positioned to deliver even greater impact in the months ahead, building on the momentum of one of its most dynamic partnerships.
