In today’s fast-paced technology and manufacturing industries, balancing work and family responsibilities can be challenging at times.

“In looking back on my career, the single biggest challenge for me was getting over that feeling of ‘mommy guilt,’” said Kris Lovejoy, Global Security and Resiliency Leader at Kyndryl. “At one point, I was trying to come to terms with the fact that I want — and I believe it is good for me — to have a career and also want to balance that with my family.”

In honor and celebration of Women’s History Month in March, Lovejoy spoke with two women who are making an impact on the world of technology and manufacturing: Lynda Hamway, Global Vice President of IT, Engineering & Corporate Services Purchasing at Stellantis; and Karen Langona, Director of Strategy & Business Development, Automotive and Manufacturing at AWS.

The three executives discussed the importance of mentoring in the workplace, gender diversity in the technology and manufacturing industries, and the realities of juggling work and family life.
