RIMAC accelerates cloud modernization with Kyndryl and Oracle

Collaborating with Kyndryl helps RIMAC strengthen its infrastructure resilience, improve business agility and advance digital transformation

LIMA, Peru, July 2, 2026Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, and RIMAC, a leading insurance company in Peru, serving approximately three million customers, announced the successful modernization of RIMAC’s essential core transactional systems. Working with Kyndryl, RIMAC migrated most of its critical platforms to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and connected them with systems hosted on other cloud providers in a multicloud environment.

Enterprises in the insurance industry face growing pressure to adopt resilient, scalable and flexible technology platforms. To increase agility and address challenges created by its legacy systems, RIMAC collaborated with Kyndryl to modernize its core platforms, including migrating key workloads from on-premises environments to OCI and upgrading its databases. RIMAC selected Kyndryl for its deep understanding of RIMAC’s application landscape and proven experience managing complex legacy environments.

“Operating at RIMAC’s scale requires technology platforms that are flexible, resilient and highly available,” said Carlos Herrera, Executive Vice President of IT and Data, RIMAC. “By modernizing our critical systems with Kyndryl using multicloud architectures, we reduced processing times by up to 80% and gained the agility to scale as demand grows. Together, we successfully laid the foundation for a more agile and resilient operation that will enhance our ability to respond to customer needs.”

“Moving to more resilient cloud architectures and addressing legacy complexity does not have to compromise operational continuity,” said Rodolfo Armellini, Managing Director, Kyndryl Latin America Southwest. “This project demonstrates how a well-executed modernization strategy can help organizations reduce complexity while strengthening operational stability and adapt and scale. The modernization positions RIMAC to compete more effectively while supporting its broader digital transformation.”

“Modernizing critical platforms in highly regulated industries such as insurance requires a cloud infrastructure designed to deliver high performance, security and resilience at its core,” said Danni Mnitentag, Vice President, Alliances and Channels, Oracle. “With OCI, RIMAC now has a technology foundation built to support mission-critical transactional workloads, integrate multicloud environments, and enable a more efficient, future-ready operation.

Through a new multicloud architecture strategy, RIMAC is modernizing how its digital channels, data platforms and mission-critical applications connect and operate together. The project also included upgrades to operating systems, communication components and firewall configurations, along with enhanced monitoring, auditing and data-masking capabilities to support future data modernization efforts.

The collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship between Kyndryl and RIMAC, supported by ongoing efforts to enhance processes, strengthen digital capabilities and advance the insurer’s broader technology transformation.
